MISSION STATEMENT
To provide financial assistance to our alma mater, North Ruimveldt Multilateral School Secondary (NRMSS), Guyana to assure the stability of the school which contributes to academic excellence and the development of Guyana. We therefore work to strengthen material support for educational growth and enrichment activities needed by the students to maximize their social, emotional, and academic success; and to create program opportunities for students to fully engage with their communities and participate meaningfully in the educational mainstream.
ACTIVITIES
NRMSS Alumni Association – 2020 Graduation
Congrats to the Class of 2020! Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the students were unable to participate in a live graduation ceremony. We congratulate them for their outstanding performance. The US Chapter awarded the top 4 students with Windows 10 laptops, Microsoft Office 19 complimented with laptop totes and wireless mice. We also awarded thirteen other students with book vouchers valued US$100.00 each for their outstanding performance.
The US Chapter celebrates 10 years!
This year the NRMSS Alumni Association, US Chapter celebrates its 10th year since becoming a registered non-profit organization. To commemorate this milestone and due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this year’s signature event was hosted via Zoom. Directors Samuel John and Nalini Singh-Charlton were honored and presented with plaques in recognition of their continued service and dedication to the organization over the past 10 years. Please join us as we celebrate a milestone, the 10th anniversary of NRMSS Alumni Association, Inc. A commemorative Tee shirt has been created to mark the occasion. The proceeds from the Tee shirt will support our programs helping North Ruimveldt Multilateral Secondary School. We encourage you to get a T-shirt and to toast our achievements as we reminisce about good times, and remember those whose ideas have become a reality. We’ll all continue our efforts to stay safe in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic.
