Sonia Chase RodneySonia Chase attended North Ruimveldt Multilateral Secondary School in the glory days from September 1985 to 1990.  She wanted a career in the health care industry therefore the Science Stream was the obvious choice, with Mr. Butler and Mr. Mangal being her Form Masters.  While at Multilateral, she was a member of the “B House” which reigned as the “champion house” for a number of years.  She was a member of the circle tennis team, participated in track and field and ran the 100, 200 and 400 meters races and represented the school at the “Nationals Championships” in the 400 meters.  Sonia loved outdoor sports and was an ardent field hockey supporter.  She also participated in the dance theatre with Mr. Bookie.

After graduating in 1990, She decided to venture into owning her own business and opened a beauty salon, co-owning with her best friend.  She wanted to give back to her school so she joined what was then known as the “Old Students Association” where she served as Assistant Secretary for the Guyana Alumni Chapter during the early 2000’s.

Sonia migrated to the US and lived in New York before moving to Virginia where she currently resides with her family and where she continued to pursue career in the health care industry.

Sonia is always willing to volunteer with the current US Alumni Chapter, joining in their efforts to give back to the students at Multi.  She is also eager to keep working together to restore the school to what it was in its inception.
