Simone Shuffler is one the newest elected members to join the executive committee. She is a hardworking individual who promises to give of her best during her stint as Vice-President, to assist with the growth and development of the NRMSS Alumni Association. Even before joining the committee, Simone played a vital role in helping the organization achieve its fundraising goals.
Simone attended North Ruimveldt Multilateral School from 1979 to 1982 after completing one year at Bladen Hall Multilateral Secondary School. While at NRMSS, she entered the Arts stream which led her to be a part of the Drama and Dance Clubs. She performed in several plays alongside, Andre Wiltshire, Rudy Prescod and Mark Johnston, just to name a few. She was also one of the youngest members of the Theater Guild in Guyana. Simone loves the stage and would continue to act at the cultural center and Theater Guild with many of Guyana’s well-known actors. Because of her love for the stage, she became a full-figured model and participated in Fashion Shows for several boutiques in Guyana. After migrating to New York in the early 1990’s she continued to model for several African and Caribbean designers.
