Samuel JohnSamuel John attended North Ruimveldt Multilateral School from it’s opening in 1975 to 1979.  He was one of the well-known students for some good and bad things. While at Multilateral School Sammy served as Head Prefect and Sergeant in the Guyana National Service.  He also competed in track and field events.  As Head Prefect, he was responsible for the Students’ Council Body.  Being a part of the Students’ Council was the beginning of Sammy’s ability to lead.  This he did with diligence while being influential in a positive way to his fellow students.  He also experience handling responsibilities and working with others.

While still attending school, Sammy also worked with his older brothers, who were well known deejays in Guyana.  Sammy “rocked” the turntables with up-to-date music, rising to the top charts as a deejay.

After moving to New York in 1983, Sammy chose to walk the path of following Jesus as his Lord and Savior.  He became involved with several ministries and answered the call of God to found “Kingdom of God Ministries” in Long Island, New York.  Sammy is now the Senior Pastor of a multi-cultured church on the Island.

Sammy is serving his second term as one of the Directors for the New York Chapter of the Alumni Association.  His primary purpose is to influence others to make a deposit in the lives of those at his alma mater.   He lives on Long Island NY with his wife of 33 years.  They have 4 children.
